Judo is a Japanese Martial Art/Sport Developed in 1882 by Professor Jigoro Kano. Derived from several forms of Jiu Jitsu , Judo took the most effective techniques and created a safe art that could be taught in high schools and was later used to train the Tokyo Police.

The word Judo simply translates into “The Gentle Way” and has been an Olympic Sport since 1964. You can practice a safe traditional art or compete in sport Competitions or Kata as part of the Motor City Judo Team
